The Opportunity

As a DevOps Engineer at Nascent, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of cryptocurrency trading. You will have the chance to architect and optimize our systems, ensuring the resilience and stability of our platform. Your role will encompass everything from designing and maintaining infrastructure to fostering a culture of quality engineering practices within our agile development teams. Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain automation scripts and tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks to enhance efficiency.
  • Guarantee the resilience and stability of our systems with infrastructure monitoring and anomaly detection tools.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process, enhancing the reliability of trading applications.
  • Collaborate on system architecture and interface design, spanning the entire technology stack, including front end, API, and back end.
  • Take ownership of multiple components, overseeing their design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of system failures or unforeseen events.
  • Act as a vital contributor to our lean and agile development team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for and apply quality engineering practices at every stage of development.

About You

  • Your enthusiasm spans from project initiation to completion, maintenance, and continual optimization.
  • You are resourceful, capable of balancing speed and precision, and can navigate the fine line between moving fast and ensuring accuracy from the start.

Required Experience

  • 2+ years of DevOps with AWS and Terraform.
  • Deep understanding of AWS networking and security best practices.
  • Proven experience with high availability, high performance, multi-region systems.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of DevOps experience.
  • Proven experience in building scalable, high-performance, production-level applications with regular release cycles.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, and Bash.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and monitoring tools (e.g.,Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Understanding of security best practices and their application in a financial trading environment.
  • Familiarity with alternative cloud providers (e.g. Azure, Alibaba) and monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog).
  • Experience with products which prioritize low latency and high availability.
  • Experience with fast moving requirements and knowledge of best practices for extensibility.
  • Fundamental understanding of financial markets, trading concepts, and real-time trading environments is a plus.
