The Opportunity

As Talent Lead you'll be the driving force behind our recruiting, hiring, and onboarding work. From pioneering sourcing strategies to ensure Nascent remains a magnet for exceptional talent, to delivering high impact onboarding experiences that set our new team members up to crush it, you will have the opportunity to dramatically impact our people and culture. This may be the role for you if you excel at crafting compelling job descriptions and leveraging language to attract the right talent and love supporting managers to design interview processes that lead to effective decision making and exceptional candidate experiences.

The right candidate will bring a strong building mindset and fascination (obsession) with leveraging tools/technology to automate and optimize as much work as possible. This is a role for a high-agency strategic do’er who sees opportunities vs challenges and takes every chance they can to level-up. This is a remote position with opportunities to travel for in-person collaboration and two annual retreats.


  • Lead our employer branding strategy ensuring Nascent has an established presence across critical talent markets and is building a healthy pipeline of top talent.
  • Consistently be on the hunt for the best tools and approaches to automate and optimize talent operations.
  • Spearhead end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring effective sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of top talent.
  • Develop and refine interview processes, contribute to recruitment best practices, prepare compelling offers, and manage employment contracts.
  • Analyze recruitment data, such as pipeline metrics and time-to-fill, to continuously improve strategies and outcomes.
  • Facilitate onboarding experience that equip our new team members to perform at their best.
  • Be a core ambassador of all things performance and culture, from supporting high impact learning and development initiatives and performance management, to keeping our benefits and wellness programs fresh.

About you

  • You thrive in entrepreneurial environments where you have the freedom to ideate and drive initiatives from soup to nuts.
  • You love working with people and leveraging your leadership skills to inspire and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • You are interested (obsessed) with human motivation and performance and believe leveraging the right tooling and automations is critical to maximizing human intelligence & potential.


  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, including experience with end-to-end recruitment of technical and hard-to-fill roles. You don’t have to know how to fill it, but you do need to be confident you can get up to speed quickly in new and niche areas.
  • High level of digital proficiency and ability to rapidly assess, streamline, and implement tools to automate as much of the HR and recruiting lifecycle as possible.

Nice to Have

  • Experience creating a welcoming and effective onboarding experience for new hires, including crafting effective communications, managing documentation, and creating onboarding materials.
  • Experience managing external payroll providers, EORs, and PEOs.
  • Experience working with recruitment tools, such as Linkedin, ATS, scheduling tools, assessment tools, and recruitment dashboards.
  • Familiarity with employment contracts and compliance requirements.
